TRAVEL TO THE EASTERN CAPE

swirl 2

The Eastern Cape is a place of stark, rugged beauty, endless white sand coastline, virgin bush and sub-tropical forests. It is the historic birthplace of Nelson Mandela and is also known as the ‘Adventure Capital’ of South Africa, great for surfing and Africa’s Big Five safaris.

Stretching from the rugged Drakensberg Mountains in the north, to the lush Tsitsikamma forests in the south, the Eastern Cape is home to the Xhosa tribe, who proudly display a rich culture and heritage accumulated over centuries.

The Eastern Cape incorporates a colourful assortment of fauna and flora, an abundance of birdlife and an especially varied marine life which includes 27 species of whales and dolphins.

The Addo Elephant Park is a major tourist attraction, providing attractive accommodation and elephants almost on your doorstep!

The ‘Sunshine Province’ includes the Big Five as well as Great White Sharks and Whales – now recognized as the Big Seven.

Wild, beautiful and totally absorbing - a world of natural wonder awaits the visitor to the Eastern Cape.
