The Virgin Kitesurfing Armada South Africa is a unique Guinness World Record breaking kitesurfing event, bringing together the kitesurfing community and and industry for an action packed day of kitesurfing, entertainment and fundraising for local and international charities.

Launched in the UK, the first Virgin Kitesurfing Armada was lead off by Sir Richard Branson in 2013, setting a new Guinness World Record for ‘The Largest Parade of Kitesurfers’ and raising £70,000 (R 1,288,000) for charity. Since 2013 the event has been held annually at Hayling Island, UK. In 2014 the Kitesurfing Armada Spain broke the record set in the UK. Currently the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada Spain is still holding the Guinness World Record title for the Largest Parade of Kitesurfers with 352 participants.

The Kitesurfing Armada South Africa will be hosted in Cape Town, one of the world’s most stunning kitesurfing locations, with Table Mountain as a backdrop. The wind window for the attempt is between 29th-31st January 2016, when professional and amateur kitesurfers from all over the world will come together to attempt to break the Guinness World Record and raise funds for good causes. It is going to be an awesome event so get involved! Please have a look through the website for all details or sign up below.
